Haliburton Highlands is a beautiful area for
snowshoeing and hiking. Dotted with lakes, this
area is one of the higher points of the
Canadian Shield. We will drive up on
Saturday morning to the Frost Centre from where
we collect our permits.Snowshoes are available
for rent there. We will then backpack to one of
the beautiful lakeside campsites and set up
camp. As always we will make a great campfire
and have a hot dinner.
All checklists will be shared by email. Anyone who is not prepared with adequate gear for the cold weather will be turned away from the carpool location to ensure safety of all.
