Itinerary:

This D3 hike will be 17 km. We'll maintain a moderate pace of about 5 km/h along a mix of pavement, gravel and dirt paths.

There will be some hills, and a short challenging section through the trees with some short but steep inclines and declines on a mountain biking path.

Don't get left behind! Please arrive early, we will start promptly, and I will turn off my cell once we begin hiking.

We'll start at Lawrence Subway Station, and end at Davisville Subway Station.

This is the route we will take.

  • Start at Lawrence subway station, (S.E. corner of Yonge St & Lawrence Ave)
  • east through various parks to Sunnybrook Park
  • south thru E.T. Seton park
  • along the Lower Don River Trail
  • stop at the Brick Works for 30 minutes (have lunch or just browse)
  • north along the Beltline Trail thru Moore Park Ravine
  • thru Mt. Pleasant Cemetery
  • End at Yonge and Davisville
  • I plan to walk an additional 3km back up Yonge to Lawrence.
    You can join me if you like.
    I will almost certainly stop for a delicious burrito on the way (just N of Eglinton)

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

We'll meet on the South-East corner of Yonge St and Lawrence Ave, near the 'Locke' branch of the Toronto Public Library across the street from the Lawrence Subway Station Entrance.

Lawrence Subway Station is located on the Yonge Subway Line, two stops south of Sheppard and 6 Stations north of Bloor.

Look for me with an ORANGE whistle on my backpack.
