Itinerary: | |||||||
Let's welcome in the longer days with a hike at Heart Lake Conservation Area. We will walk the woodland trails around Heart Lake for about 5 km and then return, keeping a good pace of about 4.5 to 5 km/hr. The trail has few hills but is otherwise fairly flat. This walk should take about 2 to 2.5 hrs. We will meet at the Lagerquist Public School, which is on Richvale Drive North, just north of Sandlewood, west of Heart Lake. Non-Bramptonites note: you're welcome to join us but there won't be a carpool - you'll have to get out to Brampton under your own steam... The hike will go rain or shine. The trail may be muddy and slick in spots, so please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for ground and weather conditions. Note that the park is still closed for the season and so are its washroom facilities, so plan accordingly.. :) If there is enough interest after the walk, we can go for a coffee. | |||||||
