Itinerary:

The Hills of Headwaters region is running a WinterFeast event in which which participating restaurants offer gourmet menus at reduced prices. I've booked reservations at The Belfountain Inn in the village of Belfountain, enjoying picturesque views of the Credit River, which we'll have walked along earlier in the day. The price is $35 plus plus tax and tip.

Please do not sign up for this hike if you do not want to go for dinner.

Please note that as dinner reservations have already been made, late cancellations will be a big problem for me. So check your schedules and be sure that you can make it, and if not, remove your name promptly from the registration and waiting lists.

The terrain is variable, with hilly sections. Length of hike is 22 km, pace 4.5-5 km/h. The exact distance and pace will be determined by trail conditions, there are lots of opportunities to vary the distance with side trails. Maps 14/15

This hike is suitable for strong intermediate or advanced hikers.Hikers coming on this event are expected to have, preferably, D5 level experience, or minimally, D4 level experience on the hike leader's events. Participants should have previous experience on 20+ km hikes, and must be able to hike at a continuous pace of 4.5-5 km/h.. If you don't have a history with the TOC, please include some comments in the notes about your hiking experience.

Note: If you come on a winter hike, you should always have a pair of icers in your pack. You won't have to use them very often, but when it is icy on the trail, you'll need them.
