Itinerary: | |||||||
This is a quick hike, we have to get to the cinema before the movie starts!. We will hike at 5.5+ km/h for approximately 10 km, winter trail conditions permitting (for safety reasons we'll slow it down and make it shorter if conditions are bad.) Not suitable for beginners. Not suitable for anyone who doesn't want to see a movie that has a guy show up in a tiger suit ready to commit rape and murder. We will be hiking from King/Yonge Station to the Carlton Cinema along the following route.
After the hike, we'll go see the great Spanish filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar's film The Skin I Live In. Remember to bring a light, head light preferred. Note: If you come on a winter hike, you should always have a pair of icers in your pack. You won't have to use them very often, but when it is icy on the trail, you'll need them. The icer is held to your boot with a set of Velcro straps, and keeps you from slipping and sliding. You can purchase good quality icers at MEC or Lee Valley Tools. | |||||||
