Itinerary:

Canada Day weekend really needs some frisbee. If you're not planning to play any, this is a serious gap in your schedule. Thankfully, here is an event to help :)

Experience with Ultimate Frisbee is not necessary. If you've thrown a frisbee before that's helpful, but not required. The only thing you'll need is energy and a willingness to run back and forth. It's a pretty simple game and I (or some of the others) will be able to show our beginners the basics.

We'll begin by tossing the disc around a bit to warm up and let any new players get used to things. I'll bring a couple of discs, but if you've one of your own bring it along! Especially during warm up, it's nice to have a few up in the air.

I'll be at Broadview station for 11am and then we'll start moving down towards the field. If you want to meet directly at the field, that's fine (we'll likely be there by 11:10). The field we'll be using (unless it's occupied) is the grassy area directly south of the tennis courts. The courts are visible from Broadview Ave as you go south and are essentially across from the intersection of Broadview and Millbrook Cres.

Required Items to Bring:
  • Water
  • Shoes for running.
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
  • a Frisbee

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Let's meet at the entrance to Broadview Subway Station, and then move together south towards the park. (Previously we've met on the southside of the tennis courts! Don't expect me on the field until 10-15 minutes after the event start so that I can wait for stragglers before walking down.)
