Itinerary:

Perfect hiking weather continues to chase us, hopefully it stays strong through the weekend.

This is a hike to the Nottawsaga Bluffs. I've not yet been there before, so it'll be an experience :)

I'm planning a 21.8km route at a strong average 4-4.5 kph pace or better. Note also that the terrain up this way is quite hilly - please be ready for this sort of challenge :) (Good footwear is likewise important.) This might almost be considered an 'easy D5' level hike.

There are lookouts, notable side trails (like the Keyhole trail) and points of interest ('Freedom Rock' and 'Best Caves') along the way that we'll explore as much as time permits.

This hike is a little longer from Toronto than I usually like to go, and with the reduced sunlight we'll have to leave at an early hour. We're meeting at 7:40am (People keep asking if I used to work in Abu Ghraib). What that means on a Sunday for carpool passengers is that you'll have to get to Downsview station without the use of the Subway - Buses are your friend.

That said, I'll be leaving from the west-ish side of the city, and am happy to make a few personal pick-ups on the way. If you'd benefit from my assistance in the matter, let me know... !
