South of Brighton, Presqu'ile consists of a limestone island linked to the mainland by a long sandbar. And to continue in the spirit of a 5th grader's report --this is finally my chance for redemption, Mrs. Edgar!-- it's known for a huge variety of birdlife (though summer seems to miss out on the migration traffic).

There are two museums/interpretive centres at the park (including the lighthouse), over 12km of hiking trails, and 2km of groomed beach which I'm assured is very sandy. Relatively close to the park, kayaks and canoes may be rented to travel along the miles of the peninsula's shoreline or that of prince edward county. On site, bicycles and volleyball equipment may also be had.

Hoping those of us who'd prefer to stay busy/be lazy will all find something here!

For interested parties on Saturday, our own Ian will be organizing something he likens to "Survivor meets Fear Factor" :) (Knowing that Ian has some skill here, I'm keen to see that go!) Interested?

Also, those of us who'd like to will share a pot-luck for dinner Saturday evening.

(P.S.> I'm really just kidding, I liked Mrs. Edgar.)
