Itinerary:

This is a great way to start the week and spend a Monday night: having fun to music and getting a great workout at the same time. Do you need to know how to dance jazz, you ask? I am reminded of an episode of Cheers, when Diane tried out for The National Ballet Company(?) and tried to convince the judges of her passion for the dance and how they should really only judge her by that. "Look not to what my arms and legs are doing...",she told them. This is my philosophy as well: In other words, bring a love of music and movement and fun - and you'll be just fine! I will have that much more respect for any two-left-footers who want to try this out! Because it is a beginner's class, the first part will focus on stretching (often on the floor) and the second half will be doing jazz moves.....

We'll be taking the 1 hour Beginner's Jazz Class: here

Meet at the subway station (see below) and walk (less than a km.) to the dance studio.

Required Items to Bring:

Workout/running/yoga wear
Thick socks or dance shoes (for sliding)
Water
Cash

Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.

You might want to prepare by stretching daily and staying limber in the week prior to this
Your best laugh, a big smile and "jazz hands"!

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Queen subway station on the Yonge line 6:00-6:15pm. Meet at the collector's booth/turnstiles, inside the station, where you would exit to find the Queen streetcar going EAST. If walking, come down the TTC stairs on the southwest corner of Yonge and Queen Sts.

Notes:

I want to meet at the subway first and get organised before heading to the dance studio. This will give us time to get changed, if necessary, and watch a little before our own class starts.
