| What is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu? Brazilian jiu-jitsu is a martial art and combat sport that teaches a person how to defend himself against an adversary by using leverage and proper technique. No special equipment is needed beyond shorts and a tshirt. Experience is not necessary and it is open to all fitness levels beginner or experienced but you should be prepared and able to take a few bumps and bruises. When we are done if anyone would like we can hit chinatown and grab a bite to eat. If you attended any of tghe previous classes you will be given priority to attend this one | |||||||
  | |||||||
| How to Get There: | |||||||
| Event Directions: | Dundas St. and Sullivan st. | ||||||
| Notes: | |||||||
|
This is not a fitness class, this is beginner
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Jui Jitsu and self defense classes require
that
you have close physical contact with other
participants. While participants are required
to respect and observe safe practices at all
times bumps and bruises are to be
anticipated.
You must be comfortable and prepared for
these
situations.
I will contact everyone who signs up for
the
event to assess your personal needs and to
arrange carpool and alternate directions to
the
venue.
