Itinerary:

This is an advanced D3 urban hike. I would have listed this as a D4 except I don't plan on going quickly and it's a flat hike aside from one large hill towards the end. We will be going at a pace of 4.5 km/hr and will take regular breaks. This isn't the hike for you if you want to speed ahead.

There will be no opportunities to drop off so please only sign up if you're going to complete the entire hike.

Route:

  • Head south along the Betty Sutherland Trail
  • Continue through both Havenbrook Park and Moatfield Farm Park
  • Through a business area to York Mills Road
  • South through Bond Park
  • Cut through Edwards Garden & Wilket Creek Park
  • Continue through Ernest Thompson Park
  • Meet up with the Lower Don River Trail
  • Up Beechwood Dr
  • South on Carlaw Ave, then across ending at Pape Station

We'll meet just outside Leslie subway station on the south-west corner of Sheppard and Leslie. Leslie subway station is on Line 3 (Sheppard).

This hike will go forward rain or shine.

I will turn off my phone once we start the hike and won't reply to emails the morning of the hike.
