Itinerary:

This is a great hike to do anytime during the year and I'm a little bored of the regular central ravines and belt line route, so we will be following the old Belt Line and ravine with a different start and finish point.

We will follow this path:

  1. Depart from Glencairn Station
  2. South to Belt Line
  3. Detour around the Mount Pleasant Cemetery
  4. Follow the Vale of Avoca ravine south
  5. Around the Brickworks
  6. North on Bayview Trail
  7. East through Todmorden Mills
  8. South to Chester Hill Lookout
  9. South to Broadview

This hike is mainly gravel walking and will have one decently challenging hill.

The hike is about 11 km overall.


Required Items to Bring:
  • Good footwear - hiking boots or hiking shoes preferred
  • Water 1-2 L and snacks
  • Flashlight or headlight
  • Weather appropriate clothing

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Glencairn Subway Station is located on the Spadina subway line, one stop north of Eglinton West Subway Station & 5 Stations north of St. George. Look for me at the Glencairn Ave or north exit of the station.
