HIKE FOR CAKE!

Nothing like a delicious piece of guilt free cake after a good hike! We'll meet at the turnstiles of Old Mill station + follow this route:
  1. South along the Humber and along the Waterfront Trail to Parkside Drive.
  2. Detour for cake
  3. West to High Park again
  4. Loop through High Park and finish at Keele TTC Station

Total distance covered 12 KM. Who knows what kind of weather we may get, so be prepared that this hike will go ahead unless there's a hurricane or tornado. Bring rain gear! The trail may be muddy and wet in places so wear proper walking footwear. We will walk at a decent pace of 5.0 to 5.5 km per hour so be prepared to stick with the group. (No racing ahead as I won't be chasing after anyone who gets lost). Dogs are welcome but won't get into the patisserie....

No Shows: If you can't make it please play fair and remove yourself from the event ASAP so the waiting list moves. Anyone cancelling after the cut off time will receive a No Show.
Note: I'm pretty happy hiking in rain; if that's not for you, remember to check the forecast the day before and if necessary remove yourself in time to avoid a No Show.

Good footwear with treads
Water 1-2 L and snacks
Flashlight or headlight Cash for pastries. Mmmmm!		Recommended Items to Bring:

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Meet at the turnstiles. There is a washroom at the Old Mill Spa north of the station. If you need to go before the hike please arrive early as we won't be stopping.

Notes:

This hike will go forth rain or shine.

Please arrive on time, I will turn off my cell phone once the event begins. Also, I rarely pick up voicemail on a hike.
