Itinerary:

There's no better way of recovering from Christmas dinner as doing an urban hike. Plus boxing day sales last about a week anyways.

We'll be meeting at York Mills Subway station North-West Entrance.

  1. Travel North through the Don Valley Golf Course
  2. Travel past Gwendolen Park
  3. North past Sheppard
  4. Through the ravine, past Burnett Park
  5. Loop back to beginning through Earl Bales Park

Since we will be in a ravine, there will be hills to climb, so please come prepared.

Approximate KM = 10 km

Following the hike, we'll go for a coffee and warm up.


Required Items to Bring:
  • Good footwear
  • Water 1-2 L and snacks
  • Clothes for cold/winter weather
  • Footwear for walking in snow

If coming from the 401

Drive south along Yonge St into the valley. Look for York Mills/Wilson Ave.

If coming by Transit

Travel to York Mills subway station on the Yonge Subway line. 3 Stops south of Finch, 7 stops north of Bloor. Look for the guy in the TOC shirt at the North-West Entrance.
