Come join in celebration of the Winter Solstice! Bang a drum or a pot or pan, ring a bell, sing a song, carry a lantern, wear a costume…this is a participatory event! Come celebrate the return of light at Toronto’s original Lantern procession!

We will meet at 5:30pm at College and Augusta - Parade begins at 6pm Sharp at Oxford and Augusta so we will walk down Augusta to Oxford at around 5:45ish

Required Items to Bring:
Noise Maker: Bells, drum, pot and spoon, anything that makes a sound!!

Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Dress warmly as we'll be outside for 2.5 hours!! I will be wearing longjohns(thermal underwear), hat, very warm mitts, scarf, sweater, fleece warm comfortable walking boots! Optional: Costume/mask/lantern

How to Get There:

Event Directions:

TTC to Baturst/College or Spadina/College. Augusta street is between Bathurst and Spadina south of College. I usually take the subway to Spadina and the streetcar down from there to College and then walk over. Spadina streetcars are more frequent than Bathurst.
