Itinerary:

So, the random hike picker has selected this urban hike for today.

This hike will both start and finish at Pioneer Village Station.
If you complete the entire loop, its 12.5 KM.
However if you get sick of my ugly face, we'll pass Finch West Station at 3.5 KM & Sentinel Station at 9.5 KM.

The hike will be on a combination of paved park paths, single track trails, sidewalks and grassy fields.

In terms of hills, there should be 4 climbs of about 25 meters.

I'll attempt to stop for a washroom break at Grandravine Community Recreation Centre located about 6 KM into the hike.
However, there is one located in the YRT bus terminal at the start/end of the hike.

  • How to Get There:
    Event Directions:

Take Line 1, Yonge-University all the way north to Pioneer Village Station.
This station is located 4 stations north of Sheppard West and 2 Stations south of Vaughan Metropolitan Centre.

We'll meet outside Steeles Exit to the Station, which is beside the YRT bus terminal (the blue & white buses) (NOT THE TTC ONE).
For those of you who don't know the station, exit the station via the north staircase
(if you don't know which is the north staircase, just follow the direction of the northbound train).
If its cold or wet, then I'll stand in the station doors.

WARNING: PIONEER VILLAGE STATION IS ONE OF THE WORST SIGNED STATIONS ON THE TTC.
SO PLEASE GIVE YOURSELF A LITTLE EXTRA TIME TO FIND ME IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN TO THIS STATION BEFORE.

For those of you driving, address of the entrance is 2800 Steeles Avenue West, which is located on the north side of Steeles between Jane & Keele.
There is a parking lot just behind the bus terminal.

Look for me in the BLUE Toronto Outdoor Club shirt.
