Itinerary:

So, I just got word from my cronies that the new section of the East Don Trail from Eglinton down to Taylor Creek has finally opened.
And since I didn't have any plans today, I figured it would be the best time to check it out.

This 10 KM hike will travel between Slone Station & Broadview Station.

The hike will be on a combination of sidewalks, grassy fields, paved multi use paths and single track dirt trails.

In terms of hills, there should be a 25 climb and as well as a long 50 meter climb right near the end of the hike.

I'll attempt to stop for a washroom break at Todmoden Mills about 8 Km into the hike.

Post hike, I might try to sneak onto Allens backyard patio for a pint, if anyone would like to join me.

    Event Directions:

Slone Station is located on Line 5, the Eglinton Crosstown, 3 stations east of Don Valley and 7 stations west of Kennedy.

We'll meet on the south east side of Eglinton & Sloane/Bermondsey Rd, which is the side with the Tim Hortons.
Should there be unfavorable weather, then I'll just be inside the Tim Hortons, probably drinking a double double.
Editors Note: Please don't go to the Tim Horton in the Circle K.

In terms of driving, Slone Station is located at 1733 Eglinton Ave East, located between Victoria Park & the DVP.

In terms of parking, there's some street parking on the south side of Eccleston Drive,
which is located just west of Slone Drive, one block north of Eglinton.
