⛸️ Join us for a couple of hours of skating at the Mattamy Athletic Centre, home of the previous Maple Leaf Gardens!

This is an event which requires you to bring your own skates (BYOS). There will be no skate rentals on site. Helmets are not required, but are highly recommended.

MEETING POINT: We will be meeting inside the lobby entrance of the Mattamy Athletic Centre. It's a large building, so please give yourself enough time to navigate the space. The arena access is upstairs so we will be leaving promptly to head to the ice where will will put on our skates.

  • Weather-appropriate clothing (read: layers, layers, layers)

  • CSA-approved helmet
  • Two (2) pairs of thicker socks (not cotton) to make your skate more comfortable

By Car

  • Drive to 50 Carlton Street and locate paid underground or street parking. There is underground parking under Loblaws.
  • Please note that parking can sometimes be limited and pricey, and it is recommended to arrive early to ensure a spot.

By TTC

  • Arrive at College station by subway from whatever direction you are travelling. From College Station, walk east along Carlton Street to the Mattamy Athletic Centre. It is located on the north side of the street.

Notes:

  • There are not likely to be skate aids at this event, however, because it is an internal arena, there will be side boards onto which you can hold if you are a newer skater.
  • Please do not leave any valuables unattended.
