Explore the Jim Tovey Conservation AreaJoin us for a walk along the newest trail at the Jim Tovey Conservation Area, located just a short distance from Toronto. Easily accessible by TTC, GO Transit, or on foot, this is a great opportunity to experience nature close to the city. We will meet at Long Branch GO Station at 9 AM and walk through Marie Curtis Park to the Jim Tovey Conservation Area, finishing at the Small Arms Building, where there is a weekly Farmers Market. Washrooms will be available at Long Branch GO Station, Marie Curtis Park, and the Small Arms Building. Mid-hike facilities are yet to be confirmed. For those wishing to return to Long Branch GO Station, it’s a short 15-minute walk east along Lakeshore Road East from the Small Arms Building. The hike will cover 8 to 10 km and last approximately 2 hours, excluding time spent at the market. The area officially opens on May 29, 2026. The exact route will be confirmed once the area is open.
