EVENT DETAILS

THE CARPOOL LEAVES SHEPPARD WEST STATION AT 10 AM

So, this is my first time leading this particular route with the TOC. I've led all the sections via other versions of this route 7 times previously.

Please bring a lunch and at least 1-2 Litres of water. We will stop for lunch a little halfway through the hike at the Limehouse Conservation Area.

EVENT STATS

  • Distance: 9.5 KM
  • Terrain: Muddy farmland, wide gravel paths and some rocky sections
  • Trail vs Road: 9 vs 500 meters
  • Elevation Range: 40 meters
  • Challenging Climbs of Note: 2 climbs of 25 meters, including a ladder climb
  • Largest Climb: 25 meters
  • Washrooms: Sometimes, Limehouse Conservation Area has an outhouse, but not always (so, maybe)
  • Highlights: 'The Hole In The Wall,' which is a rock formation that you walk through. Also, we pass the site of 'the most overused photo' at any Credit Valley park of an abandoned old mill crossing a river.

Those willing to drive, will get first priority on the wait list, should they be needed.
DRIVERS, WHEN YOU SIGN UP, PLEASE ANSWER THE CARPOOL QUESTION REGARDING THE AMOUNT OF PASSENGERS YOU CAN TAKE IN YOUR CAR!!!

Please be aware that the Toronto Outdoor Club has mandated masks to be worn during the carpool.

For those of you choosing to meet at the event location, instead of the carpool, please ensure that you come on time

I’ve set the maximum event count at 1 as I don’t want to add anyone to the event until I have enough carpool drivers to accommodate passengers. I will try accommodate up to 25-30 people.

PLEASE NOTE THAT LINE 2 IS CLOSED BETWEEN WOODBINE AND BROADVIEW STATION THIS WEEKEND
