Itinerary:

So, its Friday night. I would normally do a hike for a pint tonight, but its Valentines Day, meaning its impossible to get a reservation anywhere. So, a good old regular urban hike should do the trick.

Tonight's 11 km hike will traverse between Runnymede Station and Union Station. We'll end just outside the York Concourse to Union, so its just a short walk to the subway.

The majority of this hike will be on park paths, with a small, potentially icy/muddy section through high park.

There are two spots that have washrooms, but I'm not completely sure if the second location will be open by the time we get to it, but they are located at about 45 minutes and 2 hr mark of the hike.

I usually carry a pair of icers with me from the first snowfall of the year until the end of April, so I recommend having a pair in your pack to deal with any potential ice. You can find the pair I use, 'here from Amazon'.

If anyone is interested post-hike, I'm going to suggest grabbing a drink at Wvurst Pub in Union Station as they don't take reservations, and primarily only have communal tables, so the chances to get in, go up.
