Seaton Trail South + Lunch (13km|4.5km/hr) (2/15/2020)

Itinerary:
NOTE: PLEASE ADD YOURSELF TO THE WAITLIST. I will add more spots as more drivers sign-up to participate in the carpool for the hike. Waiting list preference will go to carpool drivers and new members (5 or fewer events) first.

We will be hiking the Seaton Trail, which is just a 30-minute drive from Toronto.

ITINERARY
  • 10:00AM Meet at Don Mills Station Passenger Pick- up
  • 10:05AM Leave (approx. 20 minute drive)
  • 10:30AM Arrive at Brock Ridge Community Park Parking Lot (see Google Maps below)
  • 10:30-1:45PM HIKING
  • 1:45-2:00PM Driving to a Italian Bakery (Lammannas) https://www.instagram.com/lamannabakery/? hl=en
  • 2:00-2:30PM Lunch at restaurant
  • 2:30-3:00PM Driving back to Don Mills Station

Start For those participating in the carpool, we will meet at 10:00Am at Don Mills Station Passenger Pick-up. For those not participating in the carpool, please meet us at Brock Ridge Community Park Parking Lot (see Google Streetview map below) at 10:30 AM. Please arrive on time as we will be leaving at 10:05 AM sharp.
End This hike will end at the starting location. For those participating in the carpool, we will return to Don Mills Station passenger pick-up after the hike.
Distance Approx. 13 km
Pace 4.5 km/hour (slightly above average pace for fit and younger individuals, above-average pace for others)
Trail Conditions We will be walking on woodchip, gravel and dirt trails.
Difficulty This is a D3 hike. WARNING: You are expected to complete the entire 13 KM. There are no washrooms on the trail - please use the facilities at Don Mills Station prior to departure.

IMPORTANT: Those participating in the carpool are required to attend both the hike and lunch. For those meeting us directly at the park, the lunch is optional.

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $11.61 (calculated at total Km * $0.211, effective Saturday, February 22, 2020). This is based on $0.08/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Your event coordinator will confirm exactly how much money is required from each person.

Please arrive on time. If you are late, you may miss the carpool.

If you choose to meet at the event, please arrive on time, we will not wait for late comers.

The event may be canceled in the event of freezing rain or showers.
