Itinerary:

NOTE: THE CARPOOL LEAVES SHEPPARD WEST STATION @ 9:00 AM

This is my first time leading this challenging 18 KM hike, the McCrae Lake Conservation Trail posses the tough beauty of the Canadian Shield. There are a bunch of climbs and dips on this hike, (if you look at my elevation map above) but none greater than 20 meters.

We'll pass by spectacular views of the lake from atop the Eagle's Nest, a fantastic waterfall, while being challenging by the rocky forest of the Canadian Shield. We'll stop for lunch at the halfway point at the rapids near the McCrae Lake narrows.

Please bring a lunch and at least 1-2 Litres of water. We will stop for breaks to enjoy the countryside, but there will not be any drop offs.

Total Distance is approx. 18 km

If you cannot walk the entire distance, please do not sign up for this hike.

Note: There are no washroom facilities at this hike.

DRIVERS, WHEN YOU SIGN UP, PLEASE ANSWER THE CARPOOL QUESTION REGARDING THE AMOUNT OF PASSENGERS YOU CAN TAKE IN YOUR CAR!!! If this is not completed, you will be moved to the wait list, until I get an answer.
