Itinerary:

NOTE: THE CARPOOL LEAVES SHEPPARD WEST STATION @ 8:45 AM

This is my first time leading this intermediate hike. The terrain is variable, with hilly and rocky sections, and some impressive cave formations.

The first 6 KM of this hike is a little easier as we descend 100 meter down the Escarpment towards the caves. We'll take the Chuck Grant side trail to a great lookout upon the valley where we will stop for lunch. After lunch we will hit up some of the caves around Metcalfe Crevice where we will have some steep almost mountain climbing scrambles up one of the side trails. It's a lot of fun.

Please bring a lunch and at least 1-2 Litres of water. We will stop for breaks to enjoy the countryside, but there will not be any drop offs.

Total distance is about 16 KM

DRIVERS, WHEN YOU SIGN UP, PLEASE ANSWER HOW MANY PASSENGERS YOU CAN TAKE IN YOUR CAR? or else you may be moved to the wait list until this is complete
