Itinerary:
I haven't done a hike for a s lice in a while and I discovered a pretty decent slice joint hidden in a corner of a neighbourhood I know pretty well. Let's hike there and check it out. We will meet at Jane Subway Station and follow this route:
- south through the Swansea area
- northwest through High Park
- continue along Grenadier Pond then down Spring Rd
- north east through Roncesvalles
- end at a pizza place near Dundas West Station

Given the unpredictability with the spring melt going on, we will be hiking mostly on sidewalks and paved paths to make our lives a bit easier. I highly recommend bringing traction devices for your boots in case we encounter any icy or slippery sections.

After the hike, I will be heading to a nearby pizza joint, but this part of the event is optional. This pizza place has a wide variety of different slices to choose from, including several vegetarian options.

Route Rundown:
Total distance: 9.5km
Pace: 4.5 - 5 km/h, fairly leisurely
Expected time: 2 - 2.5 hours + pizza time
Terrain: There are a few hills, but otherwise pretty flat
Trails: Mostly sidewalks and paved paths. Gravel trail along the pond.

We will stop for a washroom break about an hour or so into the hike. This will be the only washroom break until we reach the pizza place.

Please plan to arrive before the posted start time, we will be leaving immediately at 10:30am. I will turn my phone off once we begin, so any calls or messages will likely not be returned until the end of the hike. This hike will go forward rain or shine or snow. A high risk of a thunderstorm (80%+) 24 hours prior may result in postponement or cancellation.
