Itinerary:
It's been a while since I visited one of my favourite pizza joints, so let's go far a hike and grab a slice!. We will meet at Old Mill Station and follow this route:

- South along the Humber River Trail
- East along the Waterfront Trail
- North through High Park along the pond
- Southeast through High Park along Spring Rd.
- North along some side streets to Bloor St and Dundas St
- Head to a nearby pizza place (if you wish)

Following the hike we will head to a nearby pizza place for a slice, but this part of the event is optional. This pizzeria feature five different huge slices of pizza, including a few vegetarian options. It's a fairly thin chewy crust.

Route Rundown
Distance: 10.5 km
Pace: Between 4.5 - 5.0 km/h. Slightly faster than a leisurely pace
Expected time: 2 - 2.5 hours + pizza time
Trails: Mostly dirt/gravel trails with some paved paths and sidewalks
Terrain: A few rolling sections and we will be going up and down a good sized hill

We will stop for a washroom break about an hour and fifteen minutes into the hike. This will be the only washroom break until we reach the pizza place.

There is a TTC subway closure between Finch West and Lawrence West Stations on the University-Spadina Subway (also known as Line 1). If you need to traverse this section of the subway to get to the event, please give yourself extra time.

Please plan to arrive before the posted start time, we will be leaving immediately at 4:00pm. I will turn my phone off once we begin, so any calls or messages will likely not be returned until the end of the hike. This hike will go forward rain or shine or snow. A high risk of a thunderstorm (80%+) 24 hours prior may result in postponement or cancellation.
