Itinerary:

DISTANCE: about 16 km

PACE: 5 km/h - but slower on the boulders

DIFFICULTY: D4 - there are a few tricky spots - the steep access route to get to the beach + some seawall boulders on the beach + beach drainage streams to jump over
About 1 hour of the hike will be on big boulders with sharp edges and some big gaps between the boulders. see pics above
make sure you have good hiking footwear with good gripping soles
you will get sand in your shoes
if there are waves, your feet might get wet.
there is no tree cover on the beach so sun glasses + sunblock + sun hat is a GREAT idea

WASHROOMS?: yes, 1,000's of trees and bushes on the beach

The hike:
If you like the beach, waves, great scenery and adventure, you will love this hike!
There is a stretch of Toronto waterfront that is not widely known about outside of the local residents, so we probably won't see a lot of people
We will start near the R.C. Harris Water Treatment Plant and go east from there passing Pagan Point and Secret Beach.
The R.C. Harris Water Treatment Plant and the surrounding grounds are quite spectacular in their own right
We will go to the eastern end of Bluffers Park (Scarborough Bluffs) then turn around and walk back

We will have lunch somewhere on the beach.
