Itinerary:

We will hike on the main Bruce Trail and a few side trail loops, covering more of BT than shown in the map above.
There will be some hills to climb, and rocks and roots to negotiate
We'll find a nice spot for lunch

DISTANCE: about 21 km

PACE: 5+ km/h (not a stroll)

DIFFICULTY: D4


For advanced hikers, or intermediate hikers who want to challenge themselves! We won't be strolling!

This hike is not for beginners, or for hikers who are not in good physical shape. Everyone will be expected to keep up with the group.

If you are new to the TOC, or you have not hiked with me, or your TOC hike history does not include
recent hikes (in the past 3 months) that suggest this hike is appropriate for you (20+ km 5+ km/h),
SEND ME AN EMAIL describing recent experience (in the past 3 months) you have hiking 20 km or more at a quick pace on hilly forest terrain.
This is required for you to be considered to join this hike. No email, no hike.


MAX hikers: about 12 (+ or -)
I set the Maximum Group Size to 4, because I can take 3 passengers, but this event can accommodate about 12 hikers.
Passengers will be added as additional drivers become available.

Members on the waiting list who have a good attendance history, and members who are willing to drive may get priority. Parking at the trail head is limited.

CARPOOL DRIVERS, WHEN YOU SIGN UP, PLEASE ANSWER THE CARPOOL QUESTION REGARDING THE # OF PASSENGERS YOU CAN TAKE IN YOUR CAR!!!



Required Items to Bring:
  • bring your OHIP card
  • cell phone (in case you get separated from the group)
  • whistle (in case you get separated from the group)
  • Good footwear
  • Water 2 - 3L (or as much as you need)
  • Weather appropriate clothing

If you choose to meet at the event, please arrive before the start time, we will not wait for late comers.
