Itinerary:
I've come across another good pizza place in North York, so let's hike there and grab a slice!

We will meet at at the Locke Branch of the Toronto Public Library near Lawrence Station and follow this route:

- East along some neighbourhood streets to York University Glendon Campus
- South through the west side of Sunnybrook Park
- West through Sherwood Park and Blythwood Ravine Park
- Continue west past Yonge St through some parks and side streets to Lawrence Ave W and Avenue Rd.
- Head to a nearby pizza joint for a slice (if you wish)

Following the hike I will take anyone interested to a nearby pizza place for a slice, but this part of the event is optional. This pizza place features really big slices with a medium thick crust with a good crunch. They usually have about a dozen or so different slices to choose from, including multiple vegetarian options. The event will end at Lawrence Ave W and Avenue Rd. It's about a 10- 12 minute walk back to Lawrence Station or you can take the 52 Lawrence bus to get back to the subway.

Route Rundown:
Distance: About 10 km
Pace: Between 4.5 - 5.0 km/h, a bit faster than a leisurely stroll
Expected time: 2 - 2.5 hours + pizza time
Trails: Some dirt/gravel and paved trails and some sidewalks. Some trails could be muddy.
Terrain: We will be going steadily downhill for most of the first half, then steadily back uphill in the second half.

There will be no subway service between St. George and Pape Stations until 10am. If you need to traverse this section of the subway, please give yourself extra time.

There is a public washroom available at the beginning of the hike. We will take a washroom break about an hour or so into the hike. Please note the pizza place DOES NOT have a public washroom.

Please plan to arrive before the posted start time, we will be leaving immediately at 10:30am. I will turn my phone off once we begin, so any calls or messages will likely not be returned until the end of the hike. This hike will go forward rain or shine or snow. A high risk of a thunderstorm (80%+) 24 hours prior may result in postponement or cancellation.
