Itinerary:
NOTE: I will add more spots as more drivers sign-up to participate in the carpool for the hike. Please add yourself to the waiting list. Waiting list preference will go to new members (5 or fewer events) first.

NOTE ON DOGS: Dogs are only welcomed on this hike if you are a driver. Passengers are NOT allowed to bring their dog (unless you know the driver and have confirmed with them).

We'll be hiking in the Glen Major Forest and Walkers Woods in Pickering.

This is a D3 hike for the pace and terrain. You must be able to keep up with the group and be able to handle going up and down hills.

This is an 12.5 km hike. The hike will take 2.5 hours. Driving will take 30-40 minutes each way.

Start We will be meeting at the FreshCo parking lot across from McCowan RT Station Please arrive on time as we will be leaving at 10:10 AM sharp.
End After the hike, passengers will be dropped off at McCowan RT Station (unless drivers are willing to drop off passengers elsewhere)
Distance Approx. 12.5 km
Pace 4.5 km/hour (average pace for fit and younger individuals, above-average pace for others)
Trail Conditions We will be hiking on dirt trails.
Difficulty This is a D3 hike because of the pace and terrain. Please only sign up for the hike if you can handle hiking at 4.5km/hour and some sections with hills.
Weather 23 and sunny

Required Items to Bring:
Water

Suitable Footwear (hiking boots are recommended, as there may be muddy parts of the trail)

Money to pay the driver gas money for the carpool (we will be paying before we leave - no money, no travel!). The carpool cost will be about $4 per person.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:DRIVERS AND PASSENGERS: Please meet at the FreshCo parking lot across from McCowan RT Station at 10:00 AM.

This is the route drivers will take. It will take about 30- 40 minutes to drive from the station to Glen Major.

For those meeting at the event, please arrive on time, I will not wait for stragglers.
