HIKE FROM RATTLESNAKE POINT TO CRAWFORD LAKE TO HAVE A LUNCH PICNIC AND HIKE BACK TO RATTLESNAKE. AFTER THE HIKE, WE WILL DRIVE (JUST 8 MIN FROM RATTLESNAKE) TO A VERY POPULAR BREWERY IN MILTON FOR REFRESHMENTS (THIS IS OPTIONAL but very much recommended :)).

This hike combines scenic Ontario trails with picnic lunch at Crawford lake picnic area.

CARPOOL DEPARTURE Sheppard West (Downview) subway station passengers' pick-up, Saturday May 5, 2018 at 8:30 am
DISTANCE 15 km (mainly on the Bruce trail)
PACE Ca 3.5 km/hour (leisurely pace). No dropouts and NO JUMPING AHEAD of the group. Please make sure that you can keep up with hiking the distance without repeatedly stopping. We will take a break for lunch and have couple of stops to take photographs.
TRAIL DETAILS We will hike as a group from Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area to the Crawford Lake Conservation Area, have a lunch break (picnic), take a boardwalk around Crawford lake and hike back through a partly rugged terrain of mixed forest. AFTER the hike we drive (if desired) to a very popular brewery in Milton for refreshments (the drive would take only 8 min and is on the way back to Toronto).
PRIORITY Priority will go to DRIVERS WILLING TO TAKE PASSENGERS. Additional spots will be added depending on space in the carpool. Big thank you to drivers!!
