Weekend Car Camping Trip to Killbear Prov Park (2 full days, 1 night) to hike, swim and relax

Explore the rugged beauty of Killbear's coastal trails and its sandy beaches, enjoy the breathtaking views and gorgeous sunsets... The most popular park on Georgian bay in summer but not yet crowded just before the start of high season... I booked 2 really nice campsites only few steps from the beach. Up to 12 people can be accommodated (6 tents maximum). Be prepared to share a tent if needed. A pre-trip meeting to discuss gear, food etc. will be held on June 7, Thursday at 7 pm.

We will leave at 8 am on Saturday, set up our camp after arrival at Killbear and go hiking (ca 10-12 km). Great views of Georgian Bay guarantied :). If you don't want to hike you can spend your time on the beach swimming and suntanning. After the hike (or beach), we will have a potluck dinner and maybe take a walk after to enjoy sunset. On Sunday, we will pack up our camp and still have time for hiking, swimming and/or checking out the Visitor Centre (which has a great exhibit). We will leave at about 3 pm and head back to Toronto.

  • Individual camping gear
  • Food for 2 days for yourself and a dish for Saturday potluck dinner
  • CASH for carpool
  • Appropriate clothing for 2 days and good hiking footwear
  • Hygiene articles, towels and toiletries
  • Bug repellent
