Itinerary:

The terrain is hilly with some rocky sections. Length of hike is about 13 km, the hike will go at group pace. This hike is suitable for fit beginners and intermediate hikers.

Please note that you must bring icers. On a winter hike, you should always have a pair of icers in your pack. When it is icy on the trail, you'll need them. You can purchase good quality icers at MEC, I recommend the KAHTOOLA MICROSPIKES TRACTION DEVICE.

Our hike will take us through a series of loops along the rushing water of Grindstone Creek, forested slopes, mature woodlots, the Falls in Waterdown, and the Upper Grindstone Side Trail.

After the hike, a stop at the nearby Coffee Kettle Cafe for some Apple/Pear fritters and coffee!

Maximum group size is set to 1 so that everyone starts on the wait list, passengers will be added as drivers become available. Members willing to drive may get first priority on the wait list.
