Itinerary:
Let's try this again ...

Climbing stairs is a good workout, but instead of using a boring exercise machine, let's go outside and climb some real stairs and get in some hiking at the same time.

***PLEASE READ***
This is a D4 hike because:
- we will be hiking a distance of 16km
- we will be climbing and descending numerous sets of stairs and hills with only brief breaks (aside from lunch)
- we will be doing this at a moderate to brisk pace
This is not a leisurely stroll, you will get a good workout. Please ensure you will be able to maintain a moderate to brisk pace while walking up and down hills and stairs. We will not be waiting for stragglers! You have been warned.

If you are up to the challenge, let's meet at Broadview Station and follow this route:
- South through Riverdale Park
- West along Rosedale Valley Rd
- East along neighbourhood streets to Milkman's Lane, continuing to the Brickworks
- Take a 25 minute lunch break at the Brickworks
- North along the Beltline to Moore Ave then west
- South along the ravine into David Balfour Park.
- West along neighbourhood streets and Ramsden Park
- Northwest through Nordheimer Ravine
- South along Spadina Rd then along some side streets to St. George Station

Route Rundown:
Distance: 16 km
Pace: Maintain about 5.0km/h (moderate to brisk pace)
Expected time: Between 4 - 4.5 hours
Trails: Dirt and gravel trails, paved trails, and some sidewalks
Terrain: Numerous sets of stairs and several hills

Please plan to arrive before the posted start time, we will be leaving immediately at 10:00am. I will turn my phone off once we begin, so any calls or messages will likely not be returned until the end of the hike. This hike will go forward rain or shine. A high risk of a thunderstorm (80%+) 24 hours prior may result in postponement or cancellation.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a scheduled subway closure on the Yonge subway (also known as Line 1) between Lawrence Station and St. Clair Station. If you need to traverse this section of the subway, please give yourself extra time. Shuttle buses are much slower than trains.
