Itinerary:
They say that if March comes in like a lion, it’ll go out like a lamb. But sometimes, it’s said that if it comes in like a lamb, it’ll go out like a lion. I’ve definitely seen it go out like a lion, so maybe this year it will, too. Which means we’ll have ‘pleasant’ weather for our hike. :)

Let’s see what this year brings us during this loop urban hike, which is easily accessible by subway.

We’ll start and end at St. Clair Subway station. Those who drive can find Green P parking very close by as well.

The hike is over 90% trails. About 7 km will be some back and forth within the Mt Pleasant Cemetery; an additional 4+ km will be on the beltline Trail.

If anyone is interested at the end, we can go for a bite at a nearby pub.

BEWARE:

  • Start and end by St. Clair Subway station
  • Pace to be 4.5 – 5 km / hour (= ~ 3 mph which is speed 3.0 on a treadmill) This is above average for non-active people.
  • We will be on non-maintained trails, icers/tractions are a must.

Required Items to Bring:
icers
hat, mittens or gloves
warm boots
