Itinerary:

The terrain is hilly and challenging. Length of hike is 24.5 km, pace 5 km/h. Map 20

This hike is suitable for strong intermediate or advanced hikers. It is not suitable for beginners. Hikers coming on this event are required to have D5 level hiking experience and must be able to maintain a continuous pace of 5 km/h on challenging terrain.

A combination loop and "there and back" hike, we will be following the the Main Trail, the Boyne Valley Side Trail and the 2nd Line ECL side trail. We'll pass through steep ravines, hardwood forests, open meadows, and lots and lots of hills.

After the hike, we'll go for refreshments in Primrose.

Note: If you come on a winter hike, you should always have a pair of icers in your pack. You won't have to use them very often, but when it is icy on the trail, you'll need them. The icer is held to your boot with a set of Velcro straps, and keeps you from slipping and sliding. You can purchase good quality icers at MEC.

Those who are willing to drive and regular D5 hikers will have priority on the wait list.
