Itinerary:

Some hills. Length is 11.8 kilometers.

This is a fast hike intended for TOC members who have found D3 urban walks not challenging enough. . We will hike at 5.5 km/h. Not suitable for beginners.

We will follow this path:

  1. Depart from St. Clair Subway Station
  2. Follow the Vale of Avoca ravine south
  3. Exit the ravine at Craigleigh Gardens
  4. Walk until Castle Frank Subway Station
  5. Go down the Rosedale Valley
  6. Cross the Necropolis Cemetery
  7. Pass Riverdale Farm
  8. Take the steps down to the ravines
  9. Take the path north as far as Pottery Road Bridge
  10. Return by the Brick Works
  11. Follow Moore Ravine all the way north
  12. Exist at the pedestrian Bridge at Heath Street
  13. Walk towards St. Clair Subway Station

Remember to bring a light, head light preferred.

Note: If you come on a winter hike, you should always have a pair of icers in your pack. You won't have to use them very often, but when it is icy on the trail, you'll need them. The icer is held to your boot with a set of Velcro straps, and keeps you from slipping and sliding. You can purchase good quality icers at MEC or Lee Valley Tools.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:St. Clair Subway Station is located at Yonge and St Clair Ave. East. We'll meet at the entrance onto St Clair.
