  1. Should this event involve a car pool, you will wear a face mask at all times when inside a vehicle

THE CARPOOL LEAVES KIPLING SUBWAY STATION AT 9:15 AM

This is my first time leading this hike with the TOC.
However, I have led this hike with my friends once during the pandemic, so I have a understanding of what the trail is like.
This hike will be on a combination of the main Bruce Trail, a Bruce Side Trail and some Provincial Park Trails

Please bring a lunch and at least 1-2 Litres of water.
My diabolical plan for lunch to stop beside Swayze Falls, about 8 KM into the hike.

If you cannot walk the entire distance please do not sign up for this hike.

    EVENT STATS
  • Distance: 13 KM
  • Terrain: Single track dirt trails, which are often quite muddy when its warm but then super icy when its cold
  • Trail vs Road: 12 km vs 1 km
  • Elevation Range: 60 meters
  • Challenging Climbs of Note: 4 climbs of at least 25 meters and 2 climbs of at least 50 meters
  • Largest Climb: 50 meters
  • Washrooms: There are no washrooms on the hike. Sorry
  • Highlights: 'Rockway Falls' and 'Swayze Falls'

Those willing to drive, will get first priority on the wait list, should they be needed.
DRIVERS, WHEN YOU SIGN UP, PLEASE ANSWER THE CARPOOL QUESTION REGARDING THE AMOUNT OF PASSENGERS YOU CAN TAKE IN YOUR CAR!!!

For those of you choosing to meet at the event location, instead of the carpool, please ensure that you come on time

I’ve set the maximum event count at 1 as I don’t want to add anyone to the event until I have enough carpool drivers to accommodate passengers.
I will try accommodate 20-25 people.

I usually carry a pair of icers with me from the first snowfall of the year until the end of April, so I recommend having a pair in your pack to deal with any potential ice.
You can find the pair I use, 'here from Amazon'.
