EVENT DETAILS

THE CARPOOL LEAVES SHEPPARD WEST STATION AT 9:45 AM

So, this is my first time leading this in & out hike with the TOC. However, I've been on this path once in the past, completing this hike as a longer route.

Please bring a lunch and at least 1-2 Litres of water. We will stop for lunch in a local picnic area.

If you cannot walk the entire distance please do not sign up for this hike.

    EVENT STATS
  • Distance: 11 KM
  • Terrain: Sections of wide and single track dirt trails. A small road section at the beginning and end.
  • Trail vs Road: 10 km vs 1 km
  • Elevation Range: 50 Meters
  • Challenging Climbs of Note: 7 climbs of at least 25 meters
  • Largest Climb: 40 meters
  • Washrooms: At the halfway point, they do have washrooms, but the last time I was there, they weren't open - so maybe.
  • Highlights: 'A Lookout'

Those willing to drive, will get first priority on the wait list, should they be needed.
DRIVERS, WHEN YOU SIGN UP, PLEASE ANSWER THE CARPOOL QUESTION REGARDING THE AMOUNT OF PASSENGERS YOU CAN TAKE IN YOUR CAR!!!

For those of you choosing to meet at the event location, instead of the carpool, please ensure that you come on time

Iíve set the maximum event count at 1 as I donít want to add anyone to the event until I have enough carpool drivers to accommodate passengers.
I will try accommodate up to 25 people.

I usually carry a pair of icers with me from the first snowfall of the year until the end of April, so I recommend having a pair in your pack to deal with any potential ice.
You can find the pair I use, 'here from Amazon'
