WASHROOMS: 1/2 way at Guildwood Park

ICERS: we may need icers for this hike. Be prepared. You must keep icers in your pack during the winter months.


Approximately 9 km of the 13.5 km will be on the sand!
We will hike on the beach beside the Scarborough Bluffs, along a paved trail beside Highland Creek, and loop around Guildwood Park
We will have a snack break along the way

Required Items to Bring:
  • MANDATORY! PROPER ICERS with sharp metal points to dig into the ice
    - keep icers in your pack during the winter months.

  • bring your OHIP card
  • whistle
  • cell phone
  • water 2 or 3 L
  • Good footwear
  • Weather appropriate clothing
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
  • ski googles!(to keep the fiercely wind driven stinging ice pellets from bouncing off your eye balls. 70kph wind gusts on this hike!)
  • first aid kit
  • lunch /snacks
  • sun glasses + sunblock + sun hat

We will meet on the South East corner of Lawrence Ave E. + Beechgrove Dr, Scarborough

If coming by transit, allow lots of time to arrive before the hike start time.
There are scheduled TTC subway closures on line 1 and 2 this weekend. check TTC website for details

BY CAR: Park on a side street near the start of the hike.
