Don't have a bike? Borrow one to come on the Simcoe Day Ride! (8/5/2019)

PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED: Once you've reviewed the event details, and decided you'd like to join us, you MUST sign up at the bottom of this page.

You are STRONGLY encouraged to read this page in its entirety before signing up. If you'd like to attend, we ask that you abide by our rules and procedures as a time/cost saving process (with an end result of keeping membership free and lower cost events).

Don't have a bike, but want to come on the Simcoe Day ride?

Please make sure you are able to ride a bike comfortably and at a steady speed? We will be riding for 28 km.

You must be signed up for the Simcoe Day Ride event to be able to borrow a bike and agree to the rules on the event page.

To be able to borrow a bike, the Bike Centre will ask that you leave a deposit or ID.

We will meet at 11:30AM at the Cycle York Community Bike Centre where you can be fitted for a bike and helmet that you can borrow.

Start Meet at the Cycle York Community Bike Centre at 95 The Pond Road (located on Haynes Avenue, beside the Galito's Chicken, Osmows and Big Fat Burrito stores. Please arrive on time at 11:30AM if you want to borrow a bike.
End You will be required to return the bike to the Bike Centre after the ride.

Difficulty Anyone who rides a bike leisurely will be fine. New cyclists should not come on this ride, as you must be able to keep up with the group.

BY CAR: Paid parking is available at York University in the Bennett or York Lanes parking garages.

BY TRANSIT: Take the Yonge-University line and get off at York University Station. Walk south two blocks to The Pond Road. Walk west two blocks to Haynes Avenue The Bike Centre is located on Haynes Avenue, besides Galito's Chicken, Osmows and Big Fat Burrito.
