Itinerary:

The terrain is hilly and challenging - some streams to ford, some steep hills. Distance is 22 km, pace is 4-4.5 km an hour. This is a challenging and wonderfully scenic hike with many water features. Expect glorious fields of white trilliums.

This hike is suitable for strong intermediate hikers. It is not suitable for beginners.

This is a challenging loop hike in the scenic Upper Beaver Valley, starting from Hogg’s Falls, and crossing the valley on the Campbell’s/Graham’s Hill side trail. We'll pass by Escarpment edges, limestone cliffs, maple woodlots, open fields, lots of hills, many small streams, waterfalls and pools, Eugenia Falls, and Hogg's falls.

The event shows a max of 1, so everyone starts off on the wait list, passengers will be added as drivers become available. The number that we actually take is limited only by the number of drivers. Members willing to drive, members with favourable attendance records, and members that have been on events of similar difficulty may get priority on the wait list.

Spring Tick Warning

This year may see an increase in tick populations in Ontario so take precautions.
  • Wear long pants, light colour is better. Tuck your shirt into your pants, and pull your socks over your pant legs.
  • Use bug spray containing DEET or Icaridin to repel ticks.
  • Avoid tall grass.
  • Check yourself for ticks after the event. If you find an attached tick, remove it with tweezers. As long as the tick is attached to your skin for less than 24 hours, your chance of getting Lyme disease is negligible.

Required Items to Bring:
  • Hiking shoes
  • 2L of water
  • Snacks and lunch
  • Sun hat and sun block
