Itinerary:

Let's spend Sunday snowshoeing in Awenda Provincial Park, near Penetanguishene. The forecast is for a sunny Sunday and hopefully we will have enough fresh snow to snowshoe or XC skiing. Otherwise we will hike the trails, doing around 15km.

The trails will go through the forests, onto the beach, and overlook Georgian Bay in sections. Participants must bring their own snowshoes or XC skis - rentals are not available.

The trail centre is a heated log cabin with a woodstove. We will begin and end our hike there. I will try and get information/permission for the shelter for our lunch and will bring my stove for hot tea or hot chocolate. Bring your mugs !

Priority will be given to carpool drivers in case there are not enough willing drivers signed up
