Itinerary:
CAYUGA LAKE STATE PARK is a gorgeous park in the Finger Lakes region in New York. I have always wanted to visit the Fingers region in the Fall, so this year I am going camping there during the Thanksgiving long weekend.

CAYUGA LAKE STATE PARK offers biking, canoeing, hiking and fishing activities. Of course, the landscape and foliage in the fall are stunning.
I booked one campsite (max 6 people), but because of restrictions on the booking site, I cannot book another site. Please note, there will be no organized activities once we're there, so you will have the freedom to explore on your own or with other event participants.
If anyone wants to go out on a kayak or canoe, they must, by TOC policy, wear a PFD at all times.

Carpools will be worked out between participants to coordinate mutually convenient times and pickup places, but you should be available to leave the city NO later than 3:00PM on the Friday evening to get to the park before nightfall.

The pre- trip meeting is on Wednesday, Sept 26th at Chalkers at 6PM where we will have a presentation on the Finger Lakes followed by a planning session and this is where border crossing paperwork, camping gear, tent and carpool arrangements will be discussed. It will make the trip so much easier on everyone.
Because this event involves border crossing, this pre-trip meeting is mandatory.

Please also note that since park restrictions limit the number of people per site to 6 and the number of tents per site to 3, you may have to share your tent with someone else. The good part of this is that you don't necessarily need to own a tent in order to camp with us! :)
And since we will be crossing the border, please do not pack any food that might not be allowed in the USA (meat, fruits, vegetables)

We will be back in Toronto on Monday evening.
