Leslie to Downsview Crosstown Tour 23ish km, 5-5.5km/hr (11/12/2017)

Itinerary:
RouteWe'll be beginning at the Leslie TTC,
walking quickly across town on the Finch hydro trail,
cutting south along Derrydown Park,
and ending just south of Downsview Park on Keele (5-10 minutes' bus ride to Wilson TTC).
There will be a ~15 minute lunch break/pause in G. Ross Lord park.
Expect to be done before 1500 hours (3PM).
Terrain: Mix of paved, gravel, grass/dirt. Relatively flat.

Warning: I have not hiked this entire route.
There may be some slight detours or doublings back.
We will be walking steadily at more than 5km/hr.
Please do NOT sign up if you cannot sustain this pace for this distance.
I may ask you for your recent experience walking at this pace if I do not remember you from previous hikes.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:We will meet at the Leslie TTC Sheppard and Leslie exit (see image below) and depart at 9am. I'll be the one with white-gray hair and glasses. It's up to you to plan ahead and arrive before the departure time.
Leslie is on Subway Line 4 (Sheppard).
There is a 102-car parking lot at the station, but as this is a one-way hike, you would need to travel back to Leslie to fetch your vehicle if you park there.

Notes:
This hike will go forth in rain, snow, wind, or beautiful sunshine.
Please arrive on time. I will silence my cell phone once the event begins.
