Itinerary:

VIMY 100 Toronto will be held at Fort York to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge. There will be exhibits as well as demonstrations on World War I firepower & tactics, bayonet exercise, trench assault course, and cavalry. Admission is free.

We'll meet outside the Old Mill TTC station at 9 AM on Saturday. We'll then walk to Fort York, along the Humber River and the lakeshore. The hike will end around noon. You can explore the exhibits and the demos at Fort York, which will be open to the public until 5 pm.

The path is mostly flat, urban trail. The hike route:

Catch the TTC (subway of Bus #66 Prince Edward). You can also drive and park your car at the King's Mill Park, but please note this is not a loop hike.

Note: On April 8, there is a scheduled closure on TTC Line 1: Downsview to St George.


Notes:

Dogs are welcome on the hike, but only guide dogs and hearing dogs are welcome at Fort York.
