Itinerary:
Alphabet Hike – C is for: Chinatown, Casa Loma, Cedarvale Park and Chaplin Estates!

Now don’t panic, you didn’t miss the “B” hike. There’s a lot of possibilities, but for me B can only be the Beaches, and it’s kind of a crappy time of year to go there, so my hikes, my rules! I decided I will skip and fast forward where necessary.

So we’re onto C. We’ll pass through Chinatown, we’ll go around Casa Loma (but not in as it’s $25! Maybe some other day), hike through Cedarvale Park, and finish off the day going down Chaplin Crescent, the namesake of the neighbourhood called Chaplin Estates.

We’ll begin at Union Station (the exact location TBD and will be emailed to you, so please read the email!), and end at Davisville station. If there is any interest, there are a few pubs in the area so we could grab a drink after.

The weather will be a bit chillier than so far this week, and we won’t be in the ravines, so please dress appropriately!

Stuff you should know (before signing up or emailing me to ask…)

  • Start: Union Station (I will email exact corner/location)
  • End: Davisville Station
  • Length: 13km
  • Speed: ~ 5km / hour. Can you keep up? This is = 3.125 miles/hour, which is what most treadmills show as “speed” (mph) Since we’ll be on city sidewalks and there’s a 60% chance they’ll still be clear with no snow, we should be fine. If there is snow/ice by then, we will adjust accordingly to be safe!
