Itinerary:

A loop hike traversing a variety of trails in scenic Mono Cliffs Provincial Park, connecting the main trail with (whole or part of) the Turnbull, South Outlier, Walter Tovell, Spillway, Lookout, McCarston’s Lake and Laidlaw side trails.

We will maintain a healthy pace, subject to ice and snow conditions on the ground. Icers are strongly recommended. The hike is mostly flat, though there are a few places along the route with significant elevation gain or loss. The hike is suitable for intermediate hikers.

We will stop for lunch during the hike, roughly halfway through. Please bring a lunch and at least 1 to 2 litres of water. We will stop for breaks to enjoy the countryside, but there will not be any opportunities to drop- off.

Drivers may be given preference when signing up. Passengers will be added from the wait list as drivers become available.

There is a fee for parking; drivers will be asked to pay the fee when we arrive at Mono Cliffs. Parking fees will be added to the car pool cost, which will be divided among all attendees.

Well behaved, well socialized dogs are welcome to come on the hike, but must be on a leash no longer than six feet at all times. Please pick up after your dog. Please indicate you are bringing a dog when you sign up.

Distance is about 14 KM
