Itinerary:

1.5 Hour Hilly Fitness Walk in High Park, Bloor West

This event is a very brisk, fitness walk on a mostly paved walking route through the park. We’ll walk (or optional jog/run) for approx. 1.5 hours providing a cardio workout with a focus on hilly ups and downs! Participants will have the option to incorporate some interval exercises (walking forward, backward, sideways, step ups, arm exercises, etc) during the event.

We expect to be walking at a pace of about 5.0 km for the entire event for a 6km walk. We are starting and ending at the same location (park entrance at High Park Ave. and Bloor St.).

You may bring 2 equally filled medium sized water bottles (to hold in your arms) and use them as weights for "arm exercises". Or you may bring 2 small, 2 or 3lb arm weights..

Avoid bringing larger, bulkier backpacks or hiking boots as they will infringe your mobility.

This event is rated as a challenging D4 and is therefore not recommended for new/inexperienced members to TOC, and especially those unsure of their fitness abilities. Participants signing up will be screened for suitability and experience.

Unsure if this event is right for you - email me with details of your experience and/or questions.
