Itinerary:
Did you know that you can visit the Art Gallery of Ontario for free after 6pm on Wednesday evenings? Well, you can. With my band on hiatus I have a few free Wednesdays, so let's go check it out.

We will meet at the south west corner of Dundas St W and McCaul St (since the front entrance can be a bit frantic), then make our way over to the gallery. Once inside we will explore the gallery for a few hours. We can break into a few smaller groups at this point so everyone gets a chance to see what they want to see. Then we will meet back at the entrance just before closing time (8:45pm) to talk about what we saw, what we liked, disliked, etc. If you would like to head to a nearby pub afterwards for a more in depth discussion, you are welcome to do so, but this part of the event will be optional.

Please note that the free admission is only to the AGO's permanent collection. If you want to check out any of the special exhibits, you will have to pay for those. Personally, I find the permanent collection is more than enough to occupy you for 2-3 hours. If you haven't been to the AGO before, you'll have more than enough art to look at.

One word of warning: As you may expect because it is free, the AGO is usually very busy during this time. It can be loud and a bit crowded at times which doesn't always make for ideal viewing conditions. If you prefer an opportunity to view art in a quiet setting, you may be disappointed.
